Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus was a Roman statesman that left his role as an ordinary citizen to lead an army in his country's hour of need. Following his role in that victory, he relinquished his absolute authority in exchange for a simpler life back on his farm. He is often compared to George Washington, our nation's first president, because of Washington's leadership during the American Revolution and his willingness to step away from power when he could have easily been president for life. His example created a precedent that future presidents have followed for hundreds of years.
This American Cincinattus blank is color matched to a blue wool coat worn by General Washington during his command. The base color is a dark blue pearl accompanied by a buff wool sandy tan color that is an exact match to the wool that would have been worn as pants and a shirt on the uniform. Smaller swatches of white for the ruff and brass (for the buttons) are also included.
Each color in this unique blank is custom mixed in house. You can't buy them off the shelves which makes the color combination for this blank truly unique.
